What Is an AI Photo Booth?
An AI photo booth is a self-service photo machine that uses generative AI to transform a guest's photo into a completely reimagined scene — not a filter laid over the original, but a new image where the background, outfit, lighting, and art style change while the person stays recognisably themselves. A session takes under a minute: the guest pays by UPI, poses once, picks from themed effects on the touchscreen, and walks away with an instant dye-sublimation print plus a digital copy.
What separates one AI booth from another is the AI itself. Most booths sold in India run imported software with a fixed effect set — faces often come out distorted, and the effects never change. Pikcha runs Bamigos' own continuously-updated AI pipeline, developed in Delhi: new effects ship to every deployed booth over the air, faces stay accurate, and operators can switch on celebrity-pose, K-pop, and festival packs from their dashboard. Can I add my own effects and branding?
Absolutely. Operators can add their own custom AI effects and branded frames through the backend dashboard. Your logo, your branding, your frames — every photo that leaves the booth promotes your brand, not ours.
What happens during a power or internet outage?
Pikcha has a robust error management system. Automatic refunds are issued if a session is interrupted. Notifications are sent to both your team and our support team for known issues like paper jams or connectivity loss.
What venues is it suitable for?
Malls, gaming zones, FECs, weddings, corporate events, hotels, restaurants, birthday venues, brand activations, and more. At just 6.3 sq ft footprint, it fits almost anywhere — even next to a pillar in a mall corridor.
What warranty and support is included?
All three Pikcha tiers ship with a 1-year warranty. Until 31 July 2026, Pikcha Chrome and Pikcha Pro get 2 years warranty for the price of 1. After the warranty ends, a mandatory Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of 9.5% of base price per year is required to keep the booth operational. AMC covers technical support, spare parts dispatch, and software updates.
How do guests receive their photos?
Guests enter their WhatsApp number and receive the digital photo instantly. Physical prints are also produced on the spot. The digital photo can be shared on social media directly.
